where is color section button apply in 22.04
The "Color Selection" functionality (not to be confused with mate-color-select), which was available at 18.04 (see button on lower right of Welcome)
is no longer offered, due to much devoted effort to reduce the complexity of handling the "quirky" particularities of various themes, by attacking the issue on multiple fronts, the primary ones being:
- offering fewer and less theme-specific customization options,
- reducing range of officially supported themes, and
- reducing complexity/uniqueness of supported themes.
The "Color Selection" option is no longer offered (it is gone from the more recent Welcome windows)
because those now need to be, for the most part, "hard-coded" as part of the reduction/standardization of "XML objects" which are intended to offer that simplification on the one hand and, with an eye to the future, prepare the groundwork for what is being called "Client-side Customization" (application-specific control of customization), but all within an XML context (if I understood all the tech stories correctly 
)
