Where's Ubuntu MATE 24.04.2?

Hi to everyone. Where's Ubuntu MATE 24.04.2? A lot of the other Ubuntu "flavors" are out right now. But where's Ubuntu MATE 24.04.2? Will be very interested in knowing if the issues I've pointed out before are fixed or not. Thanks.

But why? It is here already:

$ cat /etc/*release

DISTRIB_CODENAME=noble
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS"
PRETTY_NAME="Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS"

Thank you! Downloading. It's not available on the download page on the main site.

Update:

Still no fix. Wow. OK.

Just FYI... but flavors are released one by one, with them listed as they were being started on matrix (by Ubuntu Release team member); Ubuntu-MATE was the last one processed; but that was just chance.

Hi, @Omnimaxus :slight_smile:

(Usual disclaimer / reminder: please note that I'm just another Forum user - and moderator - here. I'm NOT an Ubuntu developer or an Ubuntu MATE developer)

Thanks for the "heads up" about the availability of the Release of Ubuntu MATE 24.04.2 LTS - which is the second "point release" of Ubuntu MATE 24.04 LTS ("Noble Numbat") and the consequent need to update the download links in the https://ubuntu-mate.org/download/amd64/noble/ web page.

I've submitted, about an hour ago, the following "Pull Request" for the "ubuntu-mate.org repository in GitHub " - "feat: update downloads for 24.04 from 24.04.1 to 24.04.2 by ricmarques · Pull Request #183 · ubuntu-mate/ubuntu-mate.org " - https://github.com/ubuntu-mate/ubuntu-mate.org/pull/183 - with the changes that I think are necessary to update the download links in the https://ubuntu-mate.org/download/amd64/noble/ web page:

Namely, the changes that I've made in the commit of my pull request are the following:

I do NOT have any write privileges to that ubuntu-mate.org "Git Hub" repository, but I know that @franksmcb does have those write privileges, and so does @Wimpy (Martin Wimpress) himself (obviously). So, let's hope that one of them accepts that "pull request" of mine :slight_smile:

Thanks again!

You're quite welcome :slight_smile: Thanks again for the "heads-up".

I would like to add that @franksmcb accepted my "Pull Request" - "feat: update downloads for 24.04 from 24.04.1 to 24.04.2 by ricmarques · Pull Request #183 · ubuntu-mate/ubuntu-mate.org - and merged it to the "master" branch of the "ubuntu-mate.org" repository in GitHub (THANKS, @franksmcb !). That action by @franksmcb had the desired consequences of:

1 - replacing "24.02.1 LTS" by "24.02.2 LTS" in the "Download" web page (in the "Ubuntu MATE" web site) of Ubuntu MATE for the "64-bit PCs / Macs " Architecture - https://ubuntu-mate.org/download/amd64/ ...

2 - ... and also of updating the download links (and SHA256 checksum) of the respective "Choose a download" web page - https://ubuntu-mate.org/download/amd64/noble/ - so they now point to the ISO file "ubuntu-mate-24.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso", which is the ISO file for the ".2" point release Ubuntu MATE 24.04.2 LTS ("Noble Numbat")
