Hello Guys,
So now is the day to change my workstation to Ubuntu Mate 16.04.
I need a very good mail program, so i think about thunderbird or evolution.
Which is better?

Personally I trust thunderbird. It is as powerful as its brother firefox.
I’m a convert from MS Outlook and started using TB on Windows long before I switched from Windows to Linux. Thunderbird is awesome.
The latest addition of the calendar tab makes it easy to keep my Google calendar synced with iPhone and 2 computers [probably synced is not the appropriate term since all the devices point to s single calendar]
ps - I never used evolution
If you need to try out A new piece of modern software you can be confident in using . Nylas N1
I started using nylas after the dev of Thunderbird slowed down.
+1 to Thunderbird. It hasn’t let me down.
If you need to use Microsoft Exchange accounts, I believe Evolution has better support for that, but I haven’t ever used Evolution properly.
Nylas is deprecated as of now; however a better fork is here: https://www.getmailspring.com/
