Hi,
i'm new to Ubuntu mate and i miss some settings from my other desktop environments (xfce and kde).
whisky menu: this is a panel applet in xfce to launch applications. I can resize the window (whats not possible with all the applets in mate). The behaviour pf all mate menu applets is that when the mouse is over a categorie the right window with the applications is opened immediately. The whisker menu is different: the right window is opened only when i click to the categorie. Is there a applet for mate with this behaviour? can i resize the window?
There is a notification applet in xfce and kde that show my symbols of autostart applications in the bottom right corner. I can start actions with a right click on the symbol. i.e. i start sirikali (a gui for encfs). when i right click on the sirikali symbol i can mount a volume. There a some notification applets also in mate but i can start and action with the right click.
Desktop: I use symbols on the desktop for the most important applications. In kde and xfce the symbols can only created on certain positions. There is no text overlay. Its something like tiling. But i can't find any settings for the desktop.
automatic wallpaper changing: can i change the wallpaper lets say every 30 minutes automatically?
