Greetings everyone,
I recently bought a new laptop, an Acer Swift 1 SF114-32.
CPU : Intel Pentium N5000 (Gemini Lake)
iGPU : Intel UHD 605
With GNU/Linux, I'm experiencing black/white lines flickering at top of the screen.
Here is a link of what I posted (photos mainly) :
https://ubuntu-mate.community/t/will-mate-use-wayland-in-the-next-releases/19355/
It is not an hardware malfunction (Screen or hardware) :
- No issue at all with WIndows 10 1809, everything is smooth and OK
It is not related to the Distro
- The same problem occurs on Ubuntu MATE, Linux Mint MATE and Fedora MATE
Other people are concerned :
One of them is also using a Gemini Lake Intel processor (Ezbook x4).
Here is my inxi -G output :
Graphics:
Device-1: Intel UHD Graphics 605 driver: i915 v: kernel
Display: x11 server: Fedora Project X.org 1.20.4 driver: intel
resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz
OpenGL: renderer: Mesa DRI Intel UHD Graphics 605 (Geminilake)

And here the xrandr output :

As my laptop works perfectly with WIndows 10 Home 1809, the problem is on the GNU/Linux side.
=> So, my guess would be that there is a problem either with the Intel Gemini Lake driver and/or xrandr
I would be grateful if someone could help me solve this issue
Best Regards
