I found it useful to be able to see who liked an answer. It provided some degree of validation/weighting depending on who did or did not like it.
Is there any chance of having that functionality reinstated?
Thank you for your consideration.

I'm not aware of issues with it.
eg. a recent response I gave on this site allows me to see who has hit
and I can view that too if I open a new browser window in private mode where my login isn't used too.
I tested that both in firefox and opera on resolute (26.04) with both browsers being snap packaged, and google-chrome which is is deb packaged. Those browsers chosen purely as they happened to be running here on this box.
I can see that just fine as always, same as @guiverc and I’m just a ‘regular user’ according to my profile. I just click on the number and I see everyone who liked any kind of post, mine or someone else’s.
Maybe a Discourse issue? It all works fine for me here, but on Ubuntu Discourse, some posts I can see the little heart and the number right below the post, and on some others I don’t see it. But that happens to me over there, not here.

Are you talking about YOUR posts or OTHER peoples post? You can't see others who 'liked' other peoples post because it is the same button, the like button.
Someone elses post:
My post:
If you want to see who liked a particular post click on the number next to the heart symbol. To like a post yourself click on the heart symbol.
A recent Discourse update this year did change how they're presented - they appear as a pop over above when clicking the number, as others said ^. Previous versions use to be underneath.
If it's not working for you, which browser/version are you using @ericmarceau? Any particular theme (from your preferences - under Interface - on this site)? Any add-ons that could be interfering?
Thanks lah7 I never knew that and I have been using Ubuntu Mate for ten years. Joined in April 2016.
I used to click on the heart icon itself to see. I didn't realize that I needed to click on the number.
So, issue non-existent, just transition "bumpy" because I never saw mention of the need for a different interraction to obtain the same result (i.e. display who liked someone else's posts). ![]()
