Widgets in Ubuntu MATE 22.04

I am using Ubuntu MATE 22.04, and want to use Windows 7 like widgets in the desktop.

I came across this post, which suggets a software called screenlets. However, the PPA mentioned in that post only hosts packages for Ubuntu 16.04.

Is there any other app that supports widgets in MATE desktop?

I haven't tried it, but this app monitors Internet speed, CPU usage, and RAM usage. Install SYS INFO - System Monitor on Linux | Snap Store

you could try conky. Easy to configure with conky manager
