Wireless adapter is not detected

I have Mate on a USB flash drive and upon booting into the desktop my wireless adapter wasn’t detected, at least not in the gui interface. But I ran the lsusb command and it shows the adapter in the list of devices plugged in.

I don’t know what I need to do next in order to get connected. When I’m booted into the USB drive I can’t connect to the internet via ethernet because my PC isn’t near my router so I need to be able to get it working some other way.

Any help/direction would be appreciated.

Run “dpkg” per the update guide (a cable network connection is required) and see if that solves the problem. Also, have you checked the “Additional drivers tool” in the Control Center?:
