XRDP does not reconnect to old session

Thank you for the post.
[New User] I tried this method, however every time I get disconnected from xrdp, it always connects to a new session.
I am using Ubuntu 14.04

I have even tried to create a file using the below line
echo mate-session >~/.xsession

Please help

From what I can tell, XRDP is not reconnecting to the same session, which is a common limitation. It’s been a while since I’ve used XRDP, but this blog post I found offers a solution:
