I used mate 22.04 for two years.
I am trying a clean install Mate 22.04 on 32 or 64 micro sd for raspberry pi 4, during first boot, after i type language, keyboard, time zone, it appear for few seconds a black window with two or three error about zswap, zram etc., and after the boot go on.
When i use firefox for see video straming, in twitter or telegram or youtube the video window remain black, only audio work.
I have same problem changing micro sd card, downloading new iso file, verify
sha256 number.
the avi files work well.
i am desperate.

Unfortunately, I've never used a Raspberry Pi, so the best I can do is to suggest that you check the following article (published in June 2020) and see if it helps you. It explains how to enable video acceleration in the Raspberry Pi 4 (RPI4) n Ubuntu MATE and, after having done that, how to then enable hardware acceleration in Firefox, and in Chromium and in the VLC video player:
I hope that helps with your issue of video streaming playback in the Mozilla Firefox web browser only showing a blank / black window (although with audio / sound working, as you've described)
