How to make a custom version of ubuntuMATE for thumb drive use?

So many of you know that I’ve mentioned before that ubuntuMATE is running the live broadcast of my station and I have couple of questions about how to create an iso that contains IDJC, Audacity, Hexchat, Skype, Mumble and jack. I have a couple of people interested to be dj’s and I want it so that they can put it on a thumb drive and broadcast on NTROradio live straight from the thumb drive using ubuntuMATE. Essentially all of the streaming server, Mumble and Skype creds would be already in it. They just put in the drive boot to it, set up the sound card and hit connect and boom they are live.

I’ve been using both 14.04 and 15.04 and I’ve only made some minor tweaks still using the stock kernel with no latency issues on my equipment. Should I think of a real time kernel because of the assortments of audio interfaces and computers? I dont think it should be persistent and since it is meant to be used as a "remote’ client should I strip out unneeded stuff such as the Libre Office, etc to keep the size of the iso small? I’m thinking of including the google drive indicator or seafile to sync the mp3’s for them to play because those would have to be played from their connection when live.

Also I’ve heard of remastersys for this kind of thing but I heard it was dead. How would I go about doing up an NTROradio version of ununtuMATE? I know this kind of thing is possible just not sure on the implementation of doing it.

This just caught my eye the other day:

Makulu ow [sic] offers a Built in constructor tool, this tool lets you quickly
and easily create a 100% snapshot of your LIVE system as it is, save it
into a ISO that can be then re-installed on a new computer. It comes
complete with a livemode, installer and full EFI/Secure boot.

I wonder if it would work for Ubuntu-based systems too?

Hi,

download any Ubuntu ISO and you can try Ubuntu Builder, it might be what you want:

Then you can put it on a USB stick/Thumbdrive thingy!.
