I am having trouble installing MATE 15.10

Hi, I just tried to install Ubuntu MATE 15.10 LTS on my HP Pavilion G61, and the installer crashed.

Before installing, I looked and it said I had 3gb ram. So I downloaded the 64-bit version.

Should I have gotten the MATE 15.10 x86?
