Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions (or a video tutorial) on how to install Ubuntu Mate 17.04 on a USB drive with persistence? This is for a new Lenovo Flex 5 laptop with UEFI BIOS. Using a Samsung 128GB USB 3 thumb drive.
Basically, before I install on a hard drive in dual boot mode with Windows 10 (needed for work), I would like to run it from a USB drive for a while. I found some YouTube videos on how to do this, but for other versions of Ubuntu, and so far, I was not able to get it to work.
Hi blueorbit69, I did this tutorial a long time ago, it's also good for you,
Even if you later install it on the hard drive, you can always carry it with you and use it on any computer, you can also install any program in Ubuntu Mate,
It is not an ISO image with persistence, it is a Normal installation of UBUNTU, and if it works better and faster,
