[SOLVED] Bluetooth not autostarting

So when I first installed UM bluetoth autostarted withought a problem . Now It is software blocked . How to fix this ?

Please explain what you mean by “software blocked”!.

Have you checked in Control Centre > Personal > Startup Applications to see if it (bluetooth) is starting with the system?.

Yes the applet is autostarted .
Here is my rfkill list :
indent 0: phy0: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no
1: hp-wifi: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no
2: hp-bluetooth: Bluetooth
Soft blocked: yes
Hard blocked: no
3: hp-gps: GPS
Soft blocked: yes
Hard blocked: yes

Says bluetooth is soft blocked . Every time I start the system I have to unblock it in rfkill .

I look at the scripts for rfkill in init folder but there is nothing wrong there .

Hi,

I would say it has something to do with missing firmware?, try the following 2 terminal commands and see if that fixes the problem for you:

sudo apt-get --fix-missing install

The above command downloads and installs any missing packages on your system.

sudo apt-get --fix-broken install

The above command downloads and installs any broken dependencies on your system.

Restart after running the above commands if anything updates!.

Nothing broken with packages man . Bluetooth does not autostart thats all . When I enable it with rfkill it works like a charm .

My bad, didn’t read your post correctly, try adding the following command to Control Centre > Personal > Startup Applications:

rfkill unblock all

and see if that fixes the problem!.

This is a work around . I have thought of that . I need a permanent solution .
But I am very gratefull that you took the time to help me . Best regards .
