There is a applet for Mate witch exports file/menu bar to the panel . Verry handy for people with small screens . But when i put the Topmenu applet on the panel the mate menu with apps places and settings disapear’s . I loud love to use them both . Is there a way the mate menu won’t go away if i put TopMenu applet ? I wan’t to use theme both in my Ubuntu Mate machine .
This limitation is documented by the Top Menu developer. I don’t know why this is the case but it is. I suggest you discus it with them.
My suggestion is to replace the menu with one of the others that shop with Ubuntu MATE
