Trimming down my Ubuntu Mate System

$ sudo find / -name bleachbit.ini
_ _
/home/vmc/.config/bleachbit/bleachbit.ini
/root/.config/bleachbit/bleachbit.ini

The one in root is when you issue sudo bleachbit. A normal bleachbit uses your home location.

Yes, this is UM 16.04.
From Menu choose Places > Computer

Ok so I try to locate this Bleach file with not luck I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’m using these two systems and both does not have the browser in Bleach to clean. Thanks

I suspect that you're missing a crucial step in Caja ... showing hidden files as in step2 below
Step1

Step2

Step3

To show hidden files you can also use Ctrl-h.

Pete I found that file now what do i do with it? and will I be able to add my browser so Bleachbit can keep things clean

Alternately if you don't feel comfortable with @anon87821669 advice just reinstall BleachBit

Is he advising me to delete this bleachbit.ini file?

his advise rename or delete - try renaming and then run BleachBit to see if it starts you’ll have to make the initial settings after you insure your 2 browsers are identified.

Ok I’ll give it a try. Thanks so much

Its just an init file. Once you delete it, then running Bleachbit again will reinitialize it.
