Ubuntu 16.04 lt.s

I don't understand, what do you mean?

For the rest, first edit your sources.list:

sudo pluma /etc/apt/sources.list

and replace its whole content with the following:

# See http://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes for how to upgrade to
# newer versions of the distribution.
deb http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ bionic main restricted
deb-src http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ bionic main restricted

## Major bug fix updates produced after the final release of the
## distribution.
deb http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ bionic-updates main restricted
deb-src http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ bionic-updates main restricted

## Uncomment the following two lines to add software from Canonical's
## 'partner' repository.

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu bionic partner
deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu bionic partner

deb-src http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-security main restricted
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-security universe
deb-src http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-security universe
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-security multiverse
deb-src http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic-security multiverse

Then, delete the unused repos:

cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d
sudo rm bablu-boy-ubuntu-nutty_0_1-xenial* elementary-os-ubuntu-os-patches-xenial* opera-stable.list.save ubuntu-mate-dev-ubuntu-xenial-mate-xenial* elementary-os-ubuntu-daily-xenial* elementary-os-ubuntu-stable-xenial*
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.distUpgrade

and reload the sources:

sudo apt-get update

After this, if you check the list of repos in the Softwares & Updates, you should have the four main Ubuntu repos (main, universe, restricted, universe) enabled in the first tab, the Partner repo enabled in the second tab and that's pretty much about it..

If you check Synaptic → local/obsolte, you should have only the openprinting package, the two skype packages and the teamviewer one. Is that correct?

I don't understand, what do you mean?
[/quote]

I mean that I did not flagged any packages in the list under other software. When I opened after upgrading to 18.04 there were only 2 packages flagged.

Yes I have only open printing and teamviewer. I deleted skype packages.

I have following packages under other software. Is this correct. Or I'm referring to wrong section?

Thanks again.

Best Regards!

I mean that I did not flagged any packages in the list under other software. When I opened after upgrading to 18.04 there were only 2 packages flagged.

You mean two repos enabled? If so, yes, it's correct (as it was before we cleaned them up).

I have following packages under other software. Is this correct. Or I'm referring to wrong section?

That's the right section but you shouldn't have all of these if you followed my instructions in the last message. I.e. replace the content of sources.list with what I gave and reloaded the list of packages with apt-get update.

Your all noted. I may have done some error while following your instructions earlier. Now it is ok. I have only two packages under other software.

Thank you very much I don't know how to thank you! grate work!

Ok, now it’s fine and I think we’ve finished. Do you need to reinstall some specific softwares that were in 3rd-party repos before?

No I don’t want to install any thing this moment. It’s working fine and I’m enjoying it. Thanks again for your great help.
