Virtualization Software for ubuntu Mate

Hi My Self Vivek, I am primary Window User but started loving Linux, same like Windows can I use Visualization Software. Example Virtual Box and VMware, if both Software can run in Ubuntu, what are steps to install it.

You will find VirtualBox in the software section of the Welcome Center. Just click on install. Have you used vBox before?

yes I have used in Windows…but not is ubuntu mate. Actually I have installed it but I was getting below error

as root.

I tried installing VMware-Player-6.0.6-2700073.x86_64.bundle and it went through the install process with no errors and when I tried to run it it never came up, it just made the processing icon wheel thing spin but never came up and did not pop up an error message.

Installing virtual machine for mate 16.04

Warning NOOB at work. MATE 16.04 is running great on my Lenovo G780 and I wish to test my wings further, specifically a Virtual Machine for W7. I have some programs that require it.... I would like to try this first before trying dual boot. What it the best VM for MATE 16.04? I let the installer partition my disk. Do I need to make any "improvements" before I attempt this?
