WC3 setup problems

Hey there.
So i m pretty new to ubuntu, and i m trying to setup Warcraft3 on wine. So far everything works nice but theres like 1 Problem. To play games on it i work with an other opened Tab (Makemehost.com) to find games. On windows i was simply switching tabs with the windows button, but ubuntu is kinda not letting me switch tabs once i opened Wc3. i once managed kinda switch to chrome, but the mouse was physicly still on the game and to be honest i have no clue how i did it. Is this a regular issue with playing games on wine/ubuntu or am i missing a simple trick.

Are you running out of ram? Have you updated your graphic driver?

I’m not a gamer so I can’t help with wc3, but I did get a lot of hits in the ubuntuforum.

well the game works fine so far. No blackscreens (8GB of RAM), no keyboard problems its just the thing that i cant tab out of the game. it basicly forces me to close the game when i want to go on chrome.

With 8G of ram, try this…
sudo swapoff -a

Worst case while running with swapoff is a crash (out of ram). Use “swapon” to turn swap back on. Swap can be tweaked

What graphics do you have?
inxi -G

My whole setup runs on an old lenovo T510 with onboard gpu. its an old machine but suprisingly nice working with Ubuntu

Graphics: Card: NVIDIA GT218M [NVS 3100M] Display Server: X.Org 1.18.3 drivers: nouveau (unloaded: fbdev, vesa) Resolution: [email protected] GLX Renderer: Gallium 0.4 on NVA8 GLX Version: 3.0 Mesa 11.2.0

Like I said, run with swapoff for a while.

Your running the nouveau driver, is that by choice or is nothing else offered?

sudo ubuntu-drivers devices

Have you fully updated you new system?

Have you tried the Driver Tool as @anon42388993 pointed out? ?:
