Hi @ricky2,

are you sure it is the latest as the time stamp is from yesterday? (both 32 and 64 bit versions!):

I’ve just downloaded an iso timestamped 9:30 this morning.

See: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-mate/releases/xenial/release/

This was a torrent file, BTW

Hi Steve,

that is for the torrent file only, not the ISO as far as I can tell?.

@ricky2 Thanks for the links, DLing 64 bit now via torrent. I’ll leave my transmission open for at least the next week to serve as a peer to help speed along other’s DLs

I’m pretty sure they were done with the release days ago but stuck to the release schedule, I’m thinking the time/date stamp probably is immaterial

That is of course quite possible, I am just a suspicious person and trust no one or any thing!.

Taking the view that it isn’t, I cannot find any link as of yet saying this is the latest and greatest on any Ubuntu site?. :cold_sweat:

Yes, but I now have the image and I have mounted it in Windows. All of the files are timestamped after midnight last night (actually 17 minutes past midnight today).

Additionally, the filename of the image is: ubuntu-mate-16.04-desktop-amd64.iso

In the beta 2 download they had beta2 in the name and the daily builds had something in the name to identify them.

I think this is the final version.

yesterday, the folder is named ¨beta2¨, but now, it is exactly ¨release¨!

The file INFO on the DVD in the folder .disk contains the following:

Ubuntu-MATE 16.04 LTS “Xenial Xerus” - Release amd64 (20160420.1)

The same file in the beta2 version is:

Ubuntu-MATE 16.04 LTS “Xenial Xerus” - Beta amd64 (20160323.1)

Jaja, it´s nothing about yielding, we have the same dream to make Ubuntu MATE and the MATE environment be used throughout the world!

I don’t blame you, that attitude has kept me alive and relatively healthy for 47 years

Hey wolfman

Were in the same age bracket; or is that IQ?

I don’t know @anon42388993 as I haven’t had my IQ tested for a while on account that I couldn’t remember where the testing office was!.

Yeah, but it hasn’t been a gentle 47 years…lol, sometimes I look back in amazement that I’m still alive
