Hi everyone,
Posting here to see if others have the same issue as me.
I just downloaded 17.04 Ubuntu Mate and boot up the live image; everything works as expected. I connected to the wifi network via the network manager applet on the main applet; strangely enough I had to right click to get the list of wifi networks to choose the correct instead of left clicking on it the way I am usually doing it.
The applet signaled that it had connected to the network but there is no internet access in the system; nothing can connect. I suspect this is an issue or bug with the network manager version in 17.04; I found different bug reports for several issues linked to the network manager.
I have a Dell Latitude E5540 and the wifi card is a Atheros Communications Inc. AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)
Never had an issue with Linux distributions with it until now; curious enough the latest Solus is working just fine - I wounder what is the bug in the Ubuntu 17.04 base that is causing this?
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Razvan
